Those of you who read my childhood epic The Longest Day, might enjoy this blast from my past: Bunking Off is a script that my friends and I wrote for a drama class when I was 15.

It tells the story of 5 men who are trapped together in a nuclear bunker when war breaks out. It is a harrowing tale of survival and... ah, bollocks - it was our attempt at a Red Dwarf style sitcom, complete with ripped off jokes. We didn't take drama classes very seriously - we had signed up for "radio/video production" and a teacher left so we got shifted to a drama class. We even added a scene where they play football so that we could play during rehearsals...

The script only existed as a tatty old printout. I haven't changed/updated any of the content, but I did reformat it all to make it consistent and have proper screenplay formatting. I also changed a lot of the scene headings/directions to make it easier to understand (it had been written more for our reference than for others to read).
