OK, I give up. The spammers have won for now, and I am blocking all comments unless from a registered user. I tried a spam filter and it didn't work, I tried having unregistered users comments be moderated, but today I have 62 pages of comments to sift through... so until I can come up with a better method, you will have to register to leave comments I'm afraid.

Bastards.

EDIT: Maybe I will win in the end, I have found a better anti-spam module for Drupal and will see how good it is - but for now, comments will remain off limits

Well, my site has gotten popular with one particular set of users. Spam bots. Im getting about 10 spam comments a day now, but luckily help is here. One of the great things about using Drupal to power my site is that when I want to add a new feature, 90% of the time somebody has already written a module that I can just add to the site. So I have now added the captcha module to the site, forcing users that aren't logged in to answer a simple question when they leave a comment. This should hopefully filter out some of the spam bots. So, this is my new Drupal-powered site. I am in the process of taking it "live", so you may get some strange behaviour in the next day or so as I figure out how to get my domain-forwarding etc to work out properly... I also haven't made my mind up whether to keep the site as JonMason.NET or make it part of Vojax.com - I will definitely keep the domain name but I might just forward it to my vojax hosting account which will be simpler and easier for me.

Also, most of my content has been copied over to the new site, but my links, files and most of the imag

This site was created by Jon Mason using Drupal, an open-source content management system.

I chose Drupal as, though it is a little harder to install/setup than it's competitors, it allows more flexibility in how your sites are setup. Though this site is quite a simple blog, I wanted to use it to experiment with Drupal to allow me to create more complex sites in the future.

Another benefit of using Drupal is there are a number of themes available that let you change the look and feel of the site quickly and easily. This site currently uses a modified version of the andreas01 template created by Andreas Viklund.

The site's being neglected at the moment as I am busy experimenting with Drupal with a view to moving all my sites over to this free Content Management System, which will hopefully in the long run let me concentrate on the actual look and content of the site more without pissing about in PHP all the time...

Just added an RSS feed to my site, and it appears to be working! Which must be a first. So if you want to keep updated with my site, you can get the RSS via the orange button marked RSS.

I am in the process of adding the ability for me to upload files to the site, so I can more easily share my wonderful creations with you all. It is accessible by the cunningly named FILE ARCHIVE button on the left navbar, but is only in an early stage, I plan to have it sorted into categories etc so I can also post photos and have a picture gallery etc.

As always, stay tuned for more improvements.
