I was all excited to have been able to get free tickets online to a special cinema screening of this week's "fall finale" of Battlestar Galactica.
I was slightly less excited when Google Maps decided to give me two incorrect street names for my directions, causing me to take wrong turns for several miles in rush hour traffic.
And no, I didnt get there in time to watch the screening.
Bastards.
Well, my site has gotten popular with one particular set of users. Spam bots. Im getting about 10 spam comments a day now, but luckily help is here. One of the great things about using Drupal to power my site is that when I want to add a new feature, 90% of the time somebody has already written a module that I can just add to the site. So I have now added the captcha module to the site, forcing users that aren't logged in to answer a simple question when they leave a comment. This should hopefully filter out some of the spam bots. And peopl

Plus I keep getting spammed by the spammy spambot bastards, so am working on getting some kind of filter to stop them...
Gotta run. Back to my new toy.
In the meantime, if you're bored why not check out The Framley Examiner.
I lost my debit card. I had to wait 90 minutes at the doctors, to end up spending only 2 minutes with the doctor. I had to work late on my birthday. I found out the Xbox 360 game I had ordered from Amazon was on it's way to me, but the console was out of stock so I would have nothing to play it on.
But I did well at poker last night, coming in 7th in the tournament I enter from time to time. My previous best was 20th, so quite an improvement really!
Hope next week turns out better, and it should cos I will finally by getting my beloved xbox!
Well the "fall TV season" is now in full effect here in the States, so I thought I would ramble on about some of the shows I enjoy. First, here are the TV shows I watch on a regular basis:
Amazon now has a great deal where you can save $50 on selected Xbox 360 games when purchasing with the console. As the four games eligible for the deal are all $49.99, it basically means you are getting a free game.
With free shipping and no tax, this deal probably saves you around $70-80 on the price you would pay in a store for the premium pack.
The titles included in the promotion are:
The discount will be applied when you go to the checkout, so

He's doing much better now, but he was pretty seriously hurt and still not sure if he is going to be able to speak again or breath normally. So not been in a very cheerful mood really, but I'm about to go to New York for the weekend so thought I would try and put up a f

The Bloodz are affluent vampires who rule downtown – controlling real estate, blood banks and financial institutions. The Wolvez are the werewolves who rule the night in the New York’s upper ghetto. Now, it’s a battle to the death to determine who will run the city in the day, the night, and for all eternity..."
Oh dear. I present for your viewing displeasure, the theme song from Casino Royale, the new James Bond film.
I didn't know that by "going back to Bond's roots" meant the 1980s. I mean, I love Rocky IV as much as the next man, but I don't think returning to the 80s cheesy rock film themes is going to be what makes James Bond great again...
